I need a prepaid phone in alaska? All major cell carriers are not available.?
Hey going to alaska for a few weeks and would like a prepaid phone to use. Mine will not work ( Tmobile) and to my knowledge "Dobson" wireless is the only cell company up there. Can someone direct me where to go to get a prepaid phone that will work near anchorage?

Tracfone works in the Anchorage area

Tracfone works. Also, you can get a GO phone from ATT. Dobson sold out to AT&T a few years ago. If your TMobile phone (or another spare phone you have) takes a gsm card, you may even be able to have ATT put their GO card in your phone before you leave home. Otherwise, they have package deals which include a free phone
